I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
